March is the big tease! 50 degrees one day, 9 inches of snow, with a single digit wind chill the next. The old phrase about the calendar's third month, "in like a lion out like a lamb," rings true just when you're feeling the most Winter weary. But I was encouraged this morning when I flipped the calendar page to see that Spring is less than three weeks away and falls just after St. Patrick's Day. I also note that Daylight Saving Time goes into effect this weekend. Salvation! Not to mention that March Madness gets underway on the 19th. How often do you get the chance to paint yourself green and then blue all in one month? (The blue will be for the #1 ranked UCONN Huskies as they make their way to the NCAA championship!) I know I'm overlooking the Ides of March and Julius Caesar's demise, but, hey, that's ancient history, literally.
So for all you Summer lovers hang in there; the "big tease" is about to deliver and I can't wait.
