You don’t have to believe in reincarnation to benefit from past life regression therapy. The first person known to experience it, didn’t believe. Despite that, she was healed of a strong choking reflex that made it impossible for her to swallow pills. Under hypnosis this patient told her psychiatrist that she saw herself drown in a Roman amphitheater hundreds of years ago. That story was retold by psychiatrist Brain Weiss in his first book on past life regression . It’s titled, “Many Lives, Many Masters.” The book is full of amazing stories like this one. I had the privilege of meeting Brian Weiss about ten years ago when I was taping another natural health show. He was a gentle and generous person who made me feel as though I’ve known him all my life.
So is it real? I can only say that I’ve tried it twice now and find it so fascinating I would like to do it again. It’s helped me to understand myself and my relationships better.
Dr. Weiss gives instructions in one of his books, can’t remember which one….so that you can try it yourself. Sounds crazy, but Mickey Vegas, the woman in my report this week, actually did it and was successful . But she was so scared afterwards that she never tried it alone again. Here on Long Island, therapist Richard Scheinberg does it fairly regularly. You can reach him in Bay Shore at the Sunrise Counseling Center. The number is 631 666 1615. It’s nice to work with someone who has experience.
