Breast cancer is no longer a mystery to me. It’s a perfect storm as I’ve learned from Lynne Farrow of the Breastcancerchoices.org web site. A perfect storm between low iodine, low vitamin D, low levels of melatonin, poor nutrition and high exposures to toxins that interfere with our thyroids and our hormones.
Beth Fiteni has it right. She works for the Neighborhood Network and is kind of a public health and environmental advocate. Fiteni avoids toxins with a dedication. She eats organic, sleeps organic, uses natural and organic cleaners and natural and organic personal care and cosmetic products. She also uses a perc free drycleaner.
It would take a book for me to explain how the toxins and the deficiencies come together to form this perfect storm. But you can begin to learn by reading Dr. David Brownstein’s book “Iodine, Why You Need It, Why You Can’t Live Without It.” Then head over to a wonderful resource: Breastcancerchoices.com. Long Islander Lynne Farrow and others have made this a dedication of love…There you will learn how to protect your health.
Meanwhile, some holistic physicians think mammography is not a good idea. During my weekend show Dr. Erika said she's concerned about the compression and the radiation. Dr. Rick Linchitz is also. Instead they suggest: self exam, MRI, sonograms and thermography.
To your health,
Mary Mucci
