I heard a report on the radio the other day that said the average American gains about 10 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Years. I'm half way there with a week to go before the Crystal ball drops in Times Square. Well, I've had my fun. Cookies, cakes, pies, chocolate. You name it, I've scarfed it down. Some of it was brought in to sit in the News 12 newsroom to tempt everyone. And, of course, I took the bait. The rest of it was at the house. Either way, it was impossible to walk by and not grab something. There are still plenty of goodies on the homefront, but it is time to show a little discipline. I certainly don't want all those sweets to go to waste! But, maybe this last week as we head into the final week of 2008, I should pace myself. And then, on January 2nd (can't be a monk on New Year's Day !) I'll get down to business and go cold turkey. Yeah, that's it. A month of denial. And then my good behavior can be rewarded on Super Bowl Sunday. Sounds like a plan. Wonder if I can stick to it? What do you think?
Yeah! Have fun with Richie and the guys!!!!
