What happens in Vegas will--at least during this last trip--not stay in Vegas. You'll be seeing it every Friday on The Download. The Consumer Electronics Show is the worlds largest electronics show that takes up just about every square foot of convention space in Las Vegas. All of the big and small electronics companies use the show to unveil their newest gadgets that you and I will be clamoring for over the next year. Myself and a photographer just spent the last 6 days in Vegas (yeah, I wasn't complaining) checking out the hottest technology. One of the biggest trends we saw at CES were thin screen HDTV's. And after looking at all that technology I got a chance to give my eyes a rest by trying on some computer monitor strain reducing glasses. There we so many cool things at the show, and I don't really want to give too much away, but suffice to say I'll have some really interesting gadgets coming up on The Download this year. Keep an eye out every Friday beginning on The Morning show.
You also can check out some of the past Downloads on News 12.com .
This is me checking out the newest offerings from Samsung. Look closely here, those TV's are less than a inch thick. They truly look like paintings now. And Samsung has a new mounting system that will allow the TV to hug the wall. Typical mounts still keep the screen several inches out from the wall (not including the actual depth of the screen which is usually another 3-4 inches). I also got a chance to check out the new Mio Knight Rider GPS. Yep that's me sitting in KITT. I was tempted to push Turbo Boost - though KITT kept telling me not to.
